Microsoft support for Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2011 ends today, 14th January 2020.
The term ‘end of support’, whether desktop or server operating system, means that no more security patches or updates are going to be released by the operating system provider.
After today, 14th January 2020, Microsoft will no longer release security updates for Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2011 and Windows 7 OS. As your devices will be accessing the internet (for things like email, remote access and VPNs etc), this may expose you to security attacks or compliance risks with industry regulations such as GDPR.

If you still have laptops or PCs that are running Windows 7 we recommend that you contact your account manager to discuss your options.
