Football Shirt Friday is an initiative that was started by the Bobby Moore Fund in the UK to raise funds for bowel cancer research. This year, on Friday 21st April, the Bobby Moore Fund is calling on people across the country to show their support by wearing their favourite football shirts, sharing selfies on social media using the hashtag #footballshirtfriday, and donating to the fund.
As a company, we are proud to support this initiative and encourage all our employees to take part by wearing their favourite football shirt to work on Friday 21st April. Not only is this a fun way to show our support, but it is also an opportunity to raise awareness about bowel cancer and the importance of early detection.
Why Bowel Cancer Research is Important
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK, with over 42,000 new cases diagnosed each year. It is a disease that can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or lifestyle. However, if caught early, bowel cancer is highly treatable, and the chances of survival are greatly improved.
