We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a 2nd / 3rd line engineer.
KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to our clients, resolving complex hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
Manage and prioritise incoming support tickets, ensuring that SLAs are met and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with the 1st line support team to provide guidance and mentorship, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
Configure, install, and maintain network devices, servers, and software applications.
Monitor and proactively respond to alerts, ensuring system availability and minimising downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, and software development, to deliver integrated IT solutions.
Document and maintain accurate records of support activities, system configurations, and knowledge base articles.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements, continually enhancing technical skills and knowledge.
Proven experience in a 2nd/3rd line support role, supporting complex IT infrastructure environments.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory administration.
Experience with Windows Server.
Proficiency in virtualisation technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Extensive experience with networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and troubleshooting network-related issues.
Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud-based services.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Based at Leicester Head Office.
Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm.
