We were made aware at 5.30am this morning that the 3CX Desktop App had potentially been compromised.3CX have since confirmed their Electron Windows App shipped in Update 7, version numbers 18.12.407 & 18.12.416, includes a security issue.
They are still researching the matter and will provide a more in depth response later today.
What do you need to do?
Our engineers have been working on this since we were informed of the issue this morning, and if you are an IT3000 customer that has been affected you will be have been contacted by a member of the IT3000 support team.
If you can see that the 3CX Desktop App is installed on your device we recommend that you uninstall it.

What are 3CX doing?
3CX have confirmed that they are working on a new Windows App that is not affected by the issue, however we do not yet have a timeline of when this will be available.
There is no issue with the web client or mobile app and these can continue to be used as normal.
